Merging Technologies introduces the new standard in a compact audio interface and monitor controller

Following the success of Horus and HAPI, Merging Technologies have now launched the Anubis, a ground-breaking new audio interface incorporating the Swiss expertise in analogue and digital, networked audio and DSP technology. More significantly, it offers unique features to any engineer or musician looking for a compact, affordable Merging quality AD/DA unit and fully featured monitor controller that integrates with any DAW.
A single product for multiple applications. A computer audio interface, A monitor controller, A converter, A network audio interface, A music recording hub, A low latency mixer and processor with extraordinary audio quality.

Anubis is not a piece of bent metal with a few knobs on, It’s a small desktop unit beautifully crafted from a single piece of aluminium. Inside is a miracle of production engineering under the guidance of masters of the miniature, Sonosax. This ultra-mobile and stylish unibody case offers astonishing A/D mic pre performance with a dynamic range of 139dB. Their pristine D/A technology ensures that you hear what your project deserves.
The Anubis interface has four analogue exceptionally high-quality inputs, 2 mic/line XLR and TRS jack and two line/instrument inputs. On the output side, you get two gold plated XLR and two TRS balanced jacks allowing switching between two sets of speakers. In addition, there are two independent stereo headphone jacks with the best quality amplification they have ever done combined to offer a total of six outputs. There is also MIDI IO or GPIO and the all-important AES67/RAVENNA RJ45 ethernet connection to your Mac or PC via Core audio, ASIO or Ravenna AES67 network.

Anubis is available in two models: Anubis Pro gives you exceptional performance up to 192kHz and If your goal is working in true high-resolution, Anubis Premium offers up to 384kHz and DXD/DSD 256. What else would you expect from Merging!

Software upgrades known as “Missions” will offer the same hardware to be suitable for multiple applications. The first of these is the Monitor Mission, the central node of all Music and Recording Studios, its extreme sound quality fulfils the essential requirement of all Mastering Studios, its large number of supported surround formats will please all Film and TV Post Studios, its AoIP standards support makes it the perfect choice for Broadcast Studios, OB Vans or Editing Rooms, while its compactness and robustness make it the ideal choice for Location Recording and Live Event monitoring. Later this year the Music Mission software will be available transforming the Anubis into a musicians essential recording tool.

Anubis might look very small, but it has everything built-in to become a giant… Just with the tip of your finger on the touch screen you have access and control of the I/O from any other Merging device on the network so adding a HAPI or HORUS to your setup expands the inputs and outputs available. They also provide you similar ability to connect the I/O from any other compatible AES67 device, this extends it to something massive. “Pairing” these other devices allows Anubis to expand its I/O to manage as many as 256×256 signal paths. Awesome power!
