NUGEN Audio’s VisLM has become the industry standard for loudness metering, with loudness and True Peak measurement from stereo all the way up to 7.1.2 surround audio. The plug-in combines an instant overview with detailed historical information, enabling users to hit loudness targets first time, every time. Unique ReMEM technology saves up to 12 hours of timecode-locked loudness data with the session, and any minor edit or overdub immediately triggers overall loudness updates, eliminating the need for end to end re-measurement. With a full set of international and regional presets, VisLM is ready to go immediately. For legacy, station specific and internal specifications, VisLM can be fully configured to handle any situation.

NUGEN Audio has always endeavoured to keep up with constantly changing industry standards, and VisLM’s latest update maintains that commitment. Last year a Netflix-ready preset was added to the plug-in, incorporating an entirely new loudness measurement – Dialog LRA. VisLM was the first commercially available loudness meter to include a Dialog LRA measurement, making it the obvious choice when mixing audio for Netflix. Since then, Netflix’s internal loudness standards have evolved, and VisLM’s latest version has an updated preset which reflects those changes. The update also incorporates a new ‘Flag’ feature, which allows the user to easily navigate through loudness alerts in the plug-in’s history view, including True Peak ‘overs’ and other user-defined warnings. This update was presented at IBC 2019 (Pod F.P37) alongside NUGEN’s other audio solutions.
